St. Ethelreda School

Parent Teacher Organization

PTO Mission

The mission of the St. Ethelreda Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is to establish a close relationship between home and school by creating an opportunity for all parents to become involved in the St. Ethelreda School community.

Eagle pride! The PTO sponsors assistance to teachers in classroom settings, raises funds for supplemental educational materials and experiences, supports school and family social interaction, and provides a non-biased forum for sharing information on issues that impact our children.

It is our belief that the team effort of a parent teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children.

Our PTO President is Mrs. Lillian Frazier. She encourages all St. Ethelreda parents and guardians to join the PTO. Please read Mrs. Frazier's welcome letter:

You can direct your PTO comments and questions to Mrs. Frazier at lfrazier@stethelreda.org. The PTO usually meets once each month. You can look for notices here at the web site or in material sent home from the school. Participate and make St. Ethelreda a better place for your children!

Room Parent Program

One of the PTO's most important activities is the Room Parent Program. With this program, you as a parent work directly with a teacher to improve the classroom experience of students. The role of Room Parent includes:

  1. Help with classroom parties
  2. Work with other parents to donate needed classroom supplies
  3. Involve other parents in teacher appreciation projects

Please read the full description of the Room Parent Program in the following documents:

Being a Room Parent is a great way to get more involved in your child's education. It also happens to be one of the more fun ways to participate as a parent as well.

Fund-Raising

Fund-raising is an important part of the PTO's charter. Money from PTO activities is used to purchase classroom supplies and other material needed by students and teachers.
