Currently, over 80% of St. Ethelreda students qualify for free or reduced lunch. This is a federal indicator of the poverty level for the students and families that we serve. Tuition is a a strain for most of our families, and yet our families are committed to providing their children with the very best education and safest learning environment they can find. That's why they choose St. Ethelreda School. St. Ethelreda School is largely self-sufficient, but we do appreciate the generosity of our committed benefactors. As an individual, you can make a difference in the lives of our wonderful students and their committed families by donating your money, time and expertise to St. Ethelreda. Your donation can be in the form of scholarship dollars, equipment, or volunteer work at the school. Contact us and we'll work together toward a creative solution. As a business, you can make a difference and also reach approximately 300 concerned, caring local families as well. We will be offering a number of sponsor opportunities next school year where businesses can donate to a good cause and also be recognized by the families that comprise their community and customer base. In 2007, St. Ethelreda was chosen as a Big Shoulders Patrons Program school. As part of the Patrons Program, St. Ethelreda will be the focus of additional resources and expertise from the Big Shoulders Fund to make our school stronger and an even more vibrant place for current and future students. We're very excited to be a part of the Patrons Program; the positive impact of this will be seen over the months and years to come. The focus of this program will be to improve St. Ethelreda's curriculum, technology, presence in the community and facilities. In short, big things are happening to make St. Ethelreda an even better school! |
