In Memory of Mr. Carter

A new angel has arrived in heaven. Mr. Carter, beloved music teacher at St. Ethelreda, passed away on Friday February 22, 2008. Mr. Carter was music teacher at St. Ethelreda for 14 years.

Principal Spells notes of Mr. Carter:
"We will truly miss Mr. Carter and the gift that God gave him to arrange, compose and direct songs and programs for us. For fourteen years he shared his talent with us through Christmas plays, Black History programs, the Passion Play, family and weekday Masses, choir and general music classes. Today the students shared their fondest memories with each other as they remembered Mr. Carter in their own special way."

Services for Mr. Carter will be held Wednesday February 27, 2008 at Holy Name of Mary Church, 11159 S. Loomis. The visitation will be from 5:30-7:00 pm. The funeral Mass will start at 7:00. Students attending the services are asked to wear their school uniforms.

God bless Mr. Carter, and our prayers to his family.

Please also send your prayers to Principal Spells and her family as well, with the passing Friday of her mother-in-law, Martha Ann Spells. She has also joined the choir of angels.

My sincere and deepest sympathy to all who are affected by the passing away of Mr. Carter, especially, his wife, children and relatives. I met late Mr. Carter only once, but that meeting left an indelible impression in my heart about his gentle smile and fiendliness. God gave Mr. Carter to us and He has taken him back. We should all console each other with that thought. May the gentle soul of Mr. Carter and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in perfect peace. Amen.

Inspiration!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What is inspiration? A way to the light, a guider through your plight?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Inspiration is something thats old, something that dwells within your soul. It is something like the air,sun, and moon helping each other but never to soon. To love is inspiration, to live is inspiration, and ultimately to die is inspiration.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You are and always will be MY Inspiration,my guide through hard times. You were like a Father to all that you met, living for you and loving for them. Forever you will be a part of my heart... LIKE the sun you will rise. Like the air in heaven u are there, and like the moon you set.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mr. Carter you were my teacher and you showed so much devotion, and compassion to the students at St.Ethelreda School. It is with fond memories of you that i continue to press on through life.. I send my sincerest sympathy to The Carter family. I will forever dwell on the days you spend living in hopes of living up to the greatness of you... Mr.Carter, just wanted you to know that i loved you and always will.

Surely Mr. Carter is "Chatting with the Angels",and teaching them some new songs. If you listen closely, you will be able to hear them...swaying to a new rhythm... singing the praises to the Lord.
Play on, Brother Keith, play on! We miss you so very much.
"The song has ended, but the melody goes on and on and on..."

Where are you now Mr.Carter? Are you coming back to teach us?The first graders little minds ask these questions.
Years and years will be passed,
May be they will get to know the mistery of their questions.
You will alive in their memories;
Your sound is always echoing in their ears; They will sing your song now and then;They never forget you;They strongly believe, you are in heaven; Watching over them in their good times as well as the bad times. Their prayers will be for you and your family always.
